G20 has come and gone, and there are many news reports about the unnecessary 900 arrests.. with black bloc tactics, vandalism, police justification, excessive force on peaceful protestors...

26:

Results of a hard week!
Started off really strong!
Sun, Mon , TUES = 31k
THEN I hit a wall by being insane and trying to do a 14km long run on Tuesday..
it was great to hit the trails, but I felt it in my LEFT calf for the next couple of days.

OVERALL:    k
This week 31k (-4.5k)

In other news: Swimming = 5km+ this week. Went in the water 3x. Not bad (just not a great workout!)
Once the weather starts getting better, I'll be back up for more!
Summerville you are my friend! plus it's also great to have friends there.

WORLDCUP news.

It's no surprise that I'm rooting for the Three Lions (Brits) via ENGLAND
Many people ask why I cheer for them - and not another typical Asian sqaud. The reason I tell them is because "Why not?"

I enjoy the rough fineese of the English primeir league and that all of their players originate from the EPL. Therefore with my love of Manchester United and the glory days of Beckham.. who wouldn't cheer for this sqaud.

My team is in the Round of 16 and face the tough opponents Germany.
Today the Top seed USA (Group C) fell to the Black stars from Ghana. 2-1. Had Eng played ghana they would have crushed the black stars.
It's a tough match tomorrow AM (but it's going to be fun!!!)

BACK on track with Insanity, and Running!
G20 will not ruin my weekend -- even though my next MMMM will be on the aftermath of the happenings

Monday Mornings: Manic Muffins

This is a new segment in lieu of one of my favourite locations to get a good espresso/americano and muffin combo... for the early mornings.

M^4 hopes to start the working week with an outlook. A mindset to help guide oneself, and direct the energy of yourself.

Manic Coffee ; They even havea new layout, and the website is finally finished. woooooooooo

This week I'd like to touch upon the notion of: DRIVE....

"What DRIVES you to succeed" The sentence that I just presented raises several questions about how our mind is processing and interpreting thoughts and emotions. When I say Drive you start to quick jump towards your end goal, the accomplished task.
How come we skip the process, the method, the "HOW" notion to reach our goal? Why not STOP and think about the small steps?

Is it easier for us to focus on the BIG picture as opposed to the little picture. Quite frankly, I agree with that quick jump. It's FAST, it's focused, it's DIRECT. But let's not forget the detailed parts of the process.

But what provokes the drive that most successful people have. That IT factor... These thoughts are self-oriented; meaning "from the self". The Pure thought originating from the self. NO attachment to judgement, morals or values... but the RAW self.

I'm going to expand on this next Monday.. for the new segment of M^4.

Next time you have a goal... a dream... STOP and ask yourself who is driving this idea.....
Hopefully it's self-orientated and not influenced primarily by others.
