Sun brings out the worst drivers

So I'm getting a bit lazy with my training.... REALLY lazy...

so I procrastinated, and hopefully handed in my last paper for my undergrad HBSc. degreee... w00t. 2 more exams, 1 more week = finished.

Anyway, today I biked to drop off my paper, and since it was SUCH a nice day (it's 8:25pm and it's 20 degrees... CRAZY...) i decided to back around campus for another 10 minutes. Intially I had plans to go to MEC, but decided I would WASTE tons of time there..... after my several loops around queen's park, and around college to bathurst...

long story short... I got a farmers tan while studying on Sid smith patio for 3 hours...

fun times in the AM bike-age

As some of you readers (or lack of) know I ride a Road bike ------>
(similar to it, except probably 10 years older)
Lately my back tire has been giving me problems..... So I think there is a slow leak..... I'll need to get on that.

Although I had to get used to this bike, I fully heart road bikes. I will need to purchase a hard core 1000 bike in the near future when my dreams of doing triathlons is in full swing. Let me tell those who don't ride such a bike, that when it gets windy......... you need to REALLY bike against the wind.

Rain= problems, b/c thos tires are extra skinny.... seriously the TTC streetcar tracks ALWAYS scare me, b/c I think I'm goign to slip and fall (like last summer, when I fell twice in 1 week, NOT FUN on my days off).

As the title says, I bike in the early AM and trek a good 6.6k from my house to the AC.... Lately I've been getting faster (which I love) but it also means getting stronger legs. The point of this post was as the days are getting longer, it's also getting brighter in the day, which mean that it doesn't feel so COLD and dark. All things that I love.

I suggest the early morning rides, they really wake you up!

here's to exam season!!!!!

life has challenges.... that's fun times.

Last Monday, I went to go see the Movie Sharkwater. Not only did it open my eyes to the black market of shark finning on the pacific coast of Latin America, and South America, but it also made me mad at humans. WHY are WE the top of the food chain, and how come we decide whether or not we should just wipe out other speices.......are we the most powerful beings?! we're such human snobs.

Rob Stewart, the man who made the documentary, gave beautiful cinematography and it made me want to give up my time to volunteer aboard the vessel: Sea Shepherd.
Not only was the scenes depressing, it made me realize that I don't want to see the extinction of such a bio-diverse animal. Even though there are many myths surrounding Sharks, they really do no harm to Humans considering that they only kill about 6 a year, compared to road side deaths, or even starvation........ This brings me to the point of how we can help these animals.

1) Giving your time to volunteer for such a great organization, and spread the message that conservation of even "deadly" animals is necessary to keep the environment in tact.

2) Donating $$ will help to fuel these operations

3) Giving your government grief over long line fishing........... (I don't want to ruin the movie, but a WORLD-WIDE BAN, should be mandatory! They only take the animals that they need and waste the rest of the fishes, turtles and other beautiful creatures of the sea)
